These tests have been developed for formative assessment of specification content. They consist of new and re-purposed AQA questions written and adapted by subject specialists. One test is available for each topic covering both Foundation and Higher tier content.
The tests and mark schemes are editable Word documents so can be adapted for your students’ needs. Each test includes a feedback form to enable both self and teacher assessment.
Some questions require students to draw/label a graph or diagram or complete a calculation. Students can complete their response by hand, take a photo or scan and send it, or insert it into the Word document. Alternatively, students can use the drawing tools in Word.

The self-assessment section allows students to enter a confidence score as well as their mark and a comment for each question.
We encourage you to use the feedback form in whatever way suits you and your students.
You could:
When students have filled in the table, they can leave an overall comment by completing the ‘I can…’ and ‘I need to…’ sentences. To help students with this, we have suggested some ideas for the comments.
These tests have been created as Word documents. Once you download them, you can open, edit and save the files by using any version of Microsoft Word 2007 and above.
You can download and share the tests in Google Drive. Users will have to download the documents or use Google Drive File Stream to be able to open them in Word with the original content and layout. If you open a document as a Google Doc you will lose the original formatting and some functionality, like editable answer boxes.
Use your preferred file compression application to unzip the downloaded archive. In Windows, you will probably need to right-click the compressed (zipped) folder and select Extract All from the context menu to extract the files to the current folder.
On a Mac, double click the compressed (zipped) folder to extract the files to the current folder.
